Destiny Made Visible

by Debra Mae White on January 6, 2012

“Sometimes you hear a voice through the door calling you…This turning toward what you deeply love saves you.” – RUMI, from “A Voice through the Door”

2012 is the year of prophecy long foretold. Out of chaos, order will be born. Just as the new seedling bursts through the earth into the animal and mineral world, so will human life emerge into a new state of being as our collective destiny unfolds.

I begin my annual ritual of setting my sights on the New Year as if I am opening a box of jewels. I find myself examining each and every area of my life as a precious stone in need of polish. Looking back, lessons have been learned in business, relationships and creative pursuits. Yet I sense destiny calling me to a greater task than all of these.

The process of going within to connect with my passions precedes my New Year ritual. As I sit in quiet contemplation from the back porch of my cherished home, I gaze out upon my enchanted winter garden. I am reminded how all things of beauty now so endeared to me here, began with the spark and seed of thought, followed by a rush of passion and a burst of faith.

During my upcoming weekend, I will focus on creating a Mandala as a map for the months ahead. Here I will write words and paste pictures to align myself with manifesting my vision. My writing mentor, Janet Conner teaches a class that coaches the use of the Mandala. The term was made known by the renowned psychologist, Carl Jung to describe powerful sacred geometric symbols. This living testament to the desire of the soul comes alive with intention.

We can sense the shift is upon us. Mankind is being called to unify and embark upon spiritual evolution…I daresay, a spiritual revolution. In my view, the ultimate purpose of life is to love without ceasing. It is our part to always keep our hearts open.

One cannot help but ponder… what marvelous wonders await us?

Savor the moment…

“Order will be born.” What a great way to look at the future. I’m so tired of all the doomsday predictions and forecasts. Thanks for a gift of hope and optimism.

Debra,
What I love and enjoy most about your writing is how much insight, wisdom, and feeling you pack into a compact piece of prose. You compel the reader to dig deep into ourselves to reflect upon what you are saying and consider following your footsteps, such as the Mandala. I seriously think you should consider compiling your blog posts into a spirtual or inspirational book, once you have enough to do so. Well done, my dear writing friend, and may 2012 be full of marvelous wonders for you and your family.

I made my mandala during Janet’s plug in class. Best wishes with creating your own road map to help you manifest your vision.
